Opening Set “New Frontiers” - Maeve Grieve

New Frontiers is the award given to a leading graduating female / non binary final year MCM jazz improvisation student.

The 2023 recipient is Maeve Grieve.


Maeve Grieve

Having recently completed her final year of Jazz and Improvisation at VCA, vocalist and guitarist, Maeve Grieve, will be performing a set of new original material. Blending jazz and folk styles, her compositions combine narrative songwriting with intricate grooves and interweaving vocal and guitar melodies. Her compositions will be brought to life by some of Melbourne’s best emerging musicians.
